Pastor David’s Weekly Devotional
Since I listed my ten most favorite “traditional” Christian hymns last week, I thought it would be appropriate to list my ten most favorite “contemporary” worship songs as well:

All Praise and Honor by Paul Baloche
“Lord when You are glorified, my heart is satisfied to know all praise and honor are Yours; and when all creation sings, to You the King of kings we know all praise and honor are Yours.”
How Great is Our God by Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash and Jesse Reeves
“Age to age He stands, and time is in His hands; Beginning and the End, Beginning and the End; The Godhead three in one, Father Spirit Son; The Lion and the Lamb, The Lion and the Lamb.”
Blessed Be Your Name by Matt and Beth Redman
“Blessed be Your name, on the road marked with suffering, though there's pain in the offering, blessed be Your name.”
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us by Stuart Townend
“Behold the Man upon a cross, my sin upon His shoulders; ashamed I hear my mocking voice, call out among the scoffers; It was my sin that held Him there, until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finished.”
Before the Throne of God Above by Charitie Lees Bancroft and Vikki Cook
“Behold Him there the risen Lamb, my perfect spotless righteousness; the great unchangeable I Am, the King of glory and of grace.”
Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me by Jonny Robinson, Michael Farren and Rich Thompson
“To this I hold my sin has been defeated, Jesus now and ever is my plea; Oh the chains are released I can sing I am free, Yet not I but through Christ in me.”
The Power of the Cross by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
“This the pow'r of the cross, Christ became sin for us; took the blame bore the wrath, we stand forgiven at the cross.”
O Great God by Bob Kauflin
“O great God of highest heav'n, Occupy my lowly heart; Own it all and reign supreme, Conquer ev'ry rebel pow'r; Let no vice or sin remain, That resists Your holy war; You have loved and purchased me, Make me Yours forever more.”
Our Great God by Fernando Ortega and Mac Powell
“Lord we are weak and frail, Helpless in the storm; Surround us with Your angels, Hold us in Your arms; Our cold and ruthless enemy, His pleasure is our harm; Rise up O Lord and he will flee, Before our sov'reign God.”
In Christ Alone by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
“And as He stands in victory, sin's curse has lost its grip on me.  For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.”

Together in and for Christ,
Pastor David
