Years ago, I heard a story of a young boy named Billy who, after receiving a slingshot from his grandma for his birthday, was in her backyard playing with and enjoying his new present.  As he was shooting rocks with his sister around the backyard, he accidentally shot and killed his grandma’s favorite duck.  When he realized what he had done, he was immediately filled with sadness and remorse for his actions.
