 Unfortunately, many professing Christians today simply do not love the church.  They merely have a utilitarian view of the church.  That is, they use the church for things like spiritual instruction, social interaction and crisis management, but they themselves do not give to the church or serve in the church.  To them, church is a commodity not a community.  They are attenders not members, consumers not contributors, acquaintances not family.
