Pastor David’s Weekly Devotional
While God’s saving grace cannot be earned, it manifests itself in godliness. A person who merely proclaims to be saved – professes to be a Christian – and does not seek to live for Christ, is not truly saved (see Matt.7:21-23; Eph.2:8-10; Jms.2:19, 26; 1Jn.2:6). As it has been said: “Where there is no Christian fruit, there is not Christian root.” Jesus said it simply, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (Jn.14:15).
